ASSISI
Architonic ID: 20805276
The design takes inspiration from the Piazza Inferiore of San Francesco in Assisi. The square, an obligatory passage for those who want to reach the Basilica, orients and gives rhythm to the visitor’s path thanks to the combination of the elements that compose it: the perimeter portico and the stone paving of various colors.
The perception of rhythm and continuity, that can be felt in the composition of the square, has been reported in the design pattern. Thus, a light element is enclosed and interspersed with a thin and dark element, aiming to provide a design that could be both rustic and elegant, like the Piazza Inferiore of San Francesco in Assisi.
