Simply beautiful. That’s the motto of the German furniture brand Schönbuch, loved the

world over for its practical, beautiful designs in vibrant colours.

Based in Bad Königshofen and Munich, Schönbuch is traditionally known as a furniture

maker that turns entrance areas into inviting spaces. Its products include numerous

coat stands and coat hooks as well as wall-mounted coat racks, shoe cabinets and

storage through to coat hangers and mirrors.

Haute couture for interiors

Another Schönbuch speciality is bespoke, fitted solutions for the home or public

settings. Its diverse cupboard and storage systems can be adapted to fit any space and

configured to suit the customer’s individual needs. Storage systems such as CABIN,

CANVAS and COSMO are made to measure and crafted to specification. Minimalist and

precise, right down to the last millimetre.

Individuality and personalisation

With its own production workshops in Bad Königshofen, Schönbuch is particularly well

equipped to meet the needs of individual customers – from mirrors painted in their very

own colour to soft furnishings finished in their choice of fabric and cupboard doors in

their chosen wallpaper. For storage systems, Schönbuch offers the full range of

services, from creative consultations and individual planning – measuring up included –

to the manufacture, delivery and fitting of bespoke solutions.

Made in Germany

Schönbuch also offers a range of smaller furniture items, from side tables and benches

to seats, poufs and serving trolleys. These multifaceted designer pieces offer crisp

designs and unusual details for a special twist. They can be used in a range of ways,

whether at home or in commercial settings.

The Schönbuch portfolio is completed by a range of high-quality accessories such as

vases, trinket boxes and bookends – “favourite pieces that add a special touch to

interiors,” as CEO Michael Ress describes them. He and his wife, Carolin Sangha, took

over the company – a specialist in furniture for entrance areas since the 1960s – in 2005,

and have since updated it with their strong sense of quality and timeless design.

Manifold forms and colours

Schönbuch’s design language is timeless, functional and clear. Pieces blend in well in

any setting, from classic period buildings to contemporary bungalows. The range of

colour options is particularly unique, with 29 matt and 21 high-gloss colours to choose

from for almost every product in the range – and new colours being added every year.

The palette extends from subtle greys to vibrant shades such as sunrise and flamingo

pink.

Big names as well as talented newcomers

Schönbuch works with international design greats such as Sebastian Herkner, Christian

Haas and Michetto Studio – but also with talented newcomers. “What matters for our

collaboration,” explains CEO Michael Ress, “is that the designer can identify with the

brand and create something that incorporates an element of surprise, but that people

can intuitively understand and want to integrate into their home.”

A common language and vision for timeless contemporary furniture. Handmade in

Germany. At home around the world.
